What is the best way to go from Tallinn to St. Petersburga I plan to travel from Helsinki, Finland to Tallinn, Estonia and then to St. Petersburg, Russia. However, from what I can find trains and ferries do not work online from Tallinn to St. Petersburg.
Would it be easier to travel to Tallinn in first and then go to St. Petersburg to Helsinkia
There is a night train from Tallinn to St. P.
starting at 10:24 p.m., arr. at 7:26 am next
Back from St. Petersburg Vitebskii at 21:50, arr. Tallinn at 6:28. Next hours
From Helsinki to St. Pete. there are 3 trains per day.
dep. 7:23 - arr. 2:05 p.m.
3:23 p.m. to 10:28 p.m.
18 hours 23-01:40
From St. Petersburg to Helsinki on schedule is as follows:
dep. 6:09 arr. 11:37
7:27-12:35
3:40 p.m. to 8:48 p.m.
Maybe in the summer they will again have ferry, but for now Tallink Silja Line, do not travel.
You can also go by bus from Tallinn to St. P., but it will not be faster than the train and less comfortable. they have day trips, but you can see the campaign:

The ferry between Tallinn and Helsinki takes less than 2 hours.
The best way to do is go to the bus station in Tallinn, about a mile from the port when you get off the ferry from Helsinki (taxi) and visit the offices of Eurolines Bus Co. They really know what they do and they'll take you where you want to go.
