We have family stay with us. Two young girls in early 20s who, since October 2007 have been unable to find work in Sydney. They are looking for a 40-hour work week, not 10 -15 hours here and there. Began to look for work coffee bar / and now looking for office / admin / work style of customer service.

The best place to look for jobs are backpacker magazines such as TNT and British Balls.
It is difficult to find a job 40 hours as a working retail and office, because they know they can get people who will stay long term as were a hiker can only work in one place for 3 months maximum .
Bar is the best job easy to find in high tourist areas esp. British / Irish theme bars, or fruit picking, unless your in the accounts or a nurse, etc, it will be difficult to find a good job. Good Luck.

an employer will not hire full time someone they know can not work for them for six months, its not worth the training

someone with a working holiday visa can only work up to 6 months with an employer

You can do any kind of work in Australia and can work with the same employer for a maximum of six months.

The six-month limitation applies to work full time, part time, casual and shift work.

training in the workplace-based work is considered. You are able to undertake training in the workplace with each employer for up to six months.
