Backpackers working holiday visas find it difficult to find work in Sydney at the momenta We have family stay with us. Two young girls in early 20s who, since October 2007 have been unable to find work in Sydney. They are looking for a 40-hour work week, not 10 -15 hours here and there. Began to look for work coffee bar / and now looking for office / admin / work style of customer service.
The best place to look for jobs are backpacker magazines such as TNT and British Balls.
It is difficult to find a job 40 hours as a working retail and office, because they know they can get people who will stay long term as were a hiker can only work in one place for 3 months maximum .
Bar is the best job easy to find in high tourist areas esp. British / Irish theme bars, or fruit picking, unless your in the accounts or a nurse, etc, it will be difficult to find a good job. Good Luck.
