South Carolina Vacation Rentals

I'm planning a trip to South Carolina next June 2007. I try to find a big house, 2 to 4 bedrooms, on or very near the beach. We have two children and Wold like to stay a week. Does anyone know the lease or has stayed somewhere high in South Carolinaa Please let me know.

It really depends on what you are looking for. Folly Beach is more touristy, has great hotels and many bars and restaurants. Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island are more upscale, they have gated communities, requiring password to access (which is supported when you rent). Edisto Beach is smaller, more relaxed. On each of these islands you can find rentals on the beach or a line or two back. A sort of way to start would be about $ 1200 per week, but they can vary considerably. Try looking up vacation rentals online if you want more details on pricing and availability. And book early! They fill up quickly! Hope that helps.

Folly Field Beach is nice if you're on a budget. The best locations would be pines. All the different rental agencies have places available on the island.

I would go to Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach ...

I'm from SC and we are always at home in Carolina sunrise in Surfside Beach. It can accommodate more than ten people so that may be too little room for you all. We rent the house of Downs and the reality they have many houses and condos for rent on the beach. I've always had good service with them.
