Savannah Beach

We plan a summer vacation. I would like to visit Savannah, Ga for a couple of days, then spend the next 3 or 4 days on a beach not far from Savannah. We do not want to go to Florida because we're driving in Virginia. What is a good family beach to visit for fun things to do for teenagers as adultsa We are looking for a beach with hotel / motel not condos / houses for rent.

Tybee Island
It is about 20 miles later, there are some good restaurants and decent hotels.
If you want to avoid going to a crowded beach Tybee Creek. It is just down the main street (Butler Avenue) to turn on Inlet Ave.

My favorite is successful Breakfast Club, you should try (get there early or the line is long)

It is in FL, but only a few miles in Fl and it is my favorite place to go .... Amelia Island Fl

And is near Savannah.
