What Perisher Blue, as in early Junea I fly to Sydney for the first week of June and was interested in taking a detour to Perisher, but I know it's early in the season. I was just wondering:
What are the snow conditions, as at this time of year,
What is the best way with the conduct,
Those are the rooms of the resort,
and finally whats the whole experience therea
I skied many mountains in North America, such as Whistler / Blackcomb, Mammoth, Tahoe Area, Park City, Vail, and many others.
Unless there are unusual snowfall beginning of skiing in first week of June is on a narrow strip of artificial snow on a hill that is not at all difficult. Even if they have a big fall in place will not complete can not get the lifts open. You'll be underwhelmed.
It is 500 km each way to Sydney.
Typically, the place is DED dead within a week without any social event (although last year they had a festival of music). My wife and I once drank a bar dry red wine in June - a bottle. They had not bothered to restock after the previous season.
I am the owner of a ski chalet in the region and it is almost a waste of time the first week of June, much of the time, it may not even have snow. Depending how long you are here for you Aust generally decent snow in late June, but the best time is mid July to late August.
Bus is the best way to do without taking the car or a visit to Sydney bust.
It is acommendation Station on snow, but cheaper to stay in Jindabyne is just a quick 30-minute drive coupling and hikers are common with many people who drive in place easy to get a lift.
Experience is good, but like anywhere you get good and bad days for the best time came in late July.
