| Marketplace | Perfect Hostel Paris 14-Day Trip to Europe - first please help!a ok now this may take some time to read lol so I apologize. I already asked a similar question, but I researched a lot more since then and need more advice on specific things:).
My fiance and I are traveling to the UK for Christmas to visit family and we decided to travel Europe for 14 days in January as well.
is our itinerary:
Day 1-4 - amsterdam leaving for Prague on the night train 4 days Day 5-8 - Prague 5:11 p.m. Departure to Munich for 8 days arrive 11.30 munich at night Day 9 to 11 - Munich, leave for Paris the day the night train 11. Day 12 - 14 - Paris leave for 15 days in London.
we have a budget of AUD $ 4000 (for Europe), or about 2000 euros.
Now Ive developed an approximate budget (still planning obviously) and just want to know other people think - or anyone have any suggestions etc.
AMSTERDAM: we have 4 options hostel:
Rembrandt Royal Bed and breakfast or Hotel Hortus or hostel or Leidseplin Trianon
anyone has stayed at alla experiences good / bada whereas here we make the CityWalk Zoom Amsterdam canal cruise and visit the city experience Heineken. other recommendationsa
Prague: Auberge du Lion or Prague Square Hostel for sightseeing and travel shooting AK47 and M16
MUNICH: Four hostel you Munchen big city zoo to see touring and Munich
PARIS - "Perfect hotel and youth hostel" Activities: Catacombs, Tour Montparnasse, and of course Disneyland
We will obviously do much more than what I put here, but it is only a rough idea of things, we will arn't free.
does this sound plausablea and what other activities do you recommend we see and do that are free or inexpensivea
How do you think we need to budget for food and drink per day etc.a
do we need to buy passes or transportation in each city are there many things / sites within walking distance to these citiesa
Thank you in advance Depending on how you want to eat, whether leased or in restaurants and budget as I would about 30-40 euros per day minimum for that. Going to the supermarket for snacks and small meals throughout the day is best. Look for hostels that include breakfast in the lounge or restaurant attached, which are generally very reasonable. The couple of times I've been to Munich, Prague and Amsterdam, we walked around so that the pass transit has never been necessary. It depends on how much you're willing to walk. I prefer chain because it allows you to view over the city and you come across things that you can not have if you take transit. In Paris they have a pass, but I found it cheaper to buy what they call a pack of metro tickets book which is 10 tickets for about 11 Euros.
Amsterdam: I liked the Van Gogh Museum and the Heineken Experience is a pleasure. I also think the Anne Frank House is a must. Even if the scene is not your thing walking the red light district at night is a good time too. The last time I went we stayed at the Inn Budget Hotel Tourist, it was clean and cheap and the staff was very friendly and helpful and it is really close to the station and other attractions.
Munich, I stayed at the 4, you and wombats, the Wombats were great as my favorite because we had a huge room with a balcony. From there we made a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle which is just outside the town of Fussen, the scenery alone is worth the trip.
Prague Lion is a big hotel I loved staying there. The girls at the reception we were fantastic and it's a short walk from the shopping area, Charles Bridge and Old. Posted on July 31, 2010.
