Oxegen Tickets

T in the Park is a music festival held each year in Scotland since 1994. It is named after its main sponsor, Tennents Brewing Company. It was held at Strathclyde Park, but since 1997, took place on a disused airfield in Balado, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. T in the Park was a two-day festival, but since 2007 has taken place over three days, and introduced in 2008 was an opportunity to upgrade a weekend camping ticket to allow access from the campsite Thursday - the day before while musicians performed. The festival is sponsored by Big Day Out. It takes place on the same weekend Oxegen in Ireland and shares a very similar line each year.

And the seven main stages of music, there are great camping areas to meet the majority of festival goers who stay for the duration of the event. There are also concession stands and shops planned, and other attractions, like a big carnival, with Big Wheel.

Acts listed in the year of initiation, Primal Scream, Oasis, Crash Test Dummies, Blur, The Manic Street Preachers, Rage Against the Machine and Cypress Hill. The following year, the festival featured Kylie Minogue, The Prodigy, Alanis Morissette, Black Grape and Supergrass playing in direct sunlight and high temperatures. In 1996, Radiohead, Beck, Pulp and probably played, and in 1997 the event moved to its present site of Balado, Kinross-shire, when local developers wanted to use Strathclyde Park for other purposes.

Since his arrival, the festival has expanded in size with a mixture of bands like The Killers, Travis, Texas, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Garbage, Moby, Iggy Pop, Stereophonics, REM, The Proclaimers, The Darkness, Idlewild, Muse, Razorlight, Maximo Park, The Polyphonic Spree, and The Chemical Brothers.

In recent years the festival has shared much of its range with Oxegen, a festival which takes place the same weekend in County Kildare, Ireland. Acts usually play T in the Park one day and Oxegen the next, or vice versa.
