Beautiful mountains, sea beaches, colonial architecture and some of its charms are undeniable. This small island nation is the heart of the tourist offer of Australia to many pleasures. Hobart, in particular, is rich in history as well as hip and happening. If you happen to visit Australia are not part of Tasmania to your itinerary, you will not regret visiting this small island that also doubles as home base for French and Australian Antarctic operations.
It is worth mentioning that there are no direct flights to the capital of Tasmania. You'll have to move to a domestic airline in Melbourne or Sydney. Stay in Hobart is never a problem because there are dozens of apartments, hostels, and three to five stars. Our favorite luxury hotel is The Henry Jones Art Hotel on Hunter Street, also one of the most frequently assigned and the most prized of all luxury hotels in the city. Even if you do not intend to stay there, it is certainly worth that Dekko The Henry Jones Hotel is a country of art only.
It stands proudly on the seafront in the middle of old warehouses (including a jam factory) have all been converted into a luxury hotel in first class. Wherever you turn, there is an original work to accommodate you.
There are a few luxury resorts around this lovely town intact. High on our list of recommendations is the Wyndham Seven Mile Beach, a resort with 20 rooms located near the beach.
And if you are looking for a luxury hotel overlooking the mountains, then we offer the Wrest Point Hotel which is close to the CBD and offers magnificent views of the harbor area.
There is no shortage of five star hotels in Hobart. And on a clear day, you can always walk Mount Wellington. Take a bus to Fern Tree and take the 13 km walk up. The views you get to see on the road are simply breathtaking.
Hobart is so green it does not require the Emerald Sanctuary. Yet you come across one at St. David's Park-a must visit. The variety of fuchsias, camellias, magnolias, birches and al you get to see you leave stuck for hours.
Practically next door is the famous Palace of Salamanca, with its cafes, restaurants and art galleries. And if he can go on a Saturday morning and find yourself among the largest and most popular market in Australia, Salamanca market.
