How do I get to central London hotels in Heathrow Airporta What is the best mode of transport from LHR to my hotel in central Londona
If I use the Heathrow Express, how many minutes does it take to arrive at Paddington stationa
OKAY. Well, the Heathrow Express is probably the smartest way to go. You have some options -
1) Take a taxi to take you to Paddington station. It will cost anywhere between £ 35 to 60, and will be cheaper if you can call a taxi company in advance. It's expensive, but it is the ultimate in convenience. Probably to just over a pound, they might lead you directly to your hotel (which region are you stayinga).
2) Take the subway. There is an exit of the station from Heathrow direct subway - Take the Piccadilly line to Gloucester (fyi: pronounced gloss-ter) the road and transfer to the Circle Line towards High Street Kensington and get off at Paddington Station. It will take between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, knowing that the circle line is most often suspended not. But you might get lucky:). The big con with this is that you have to lug all your luggage around the stations - I'm not sure Paddington has lifts and you would probably have to climb stairs or two (no more than that because it is being a circle) with all your luggage. But this trip will cost you about £ 5.
3) Take the Heathrow Express! It would be like the tube, but easier and faster because you do not need to transfer anywhere. It is about £ 16 each way and takes something like 15 minutes.
Good luck and enjoy London! I just spent about five months there, and lived near Paddington. There is so much to see so not bored!
The first thing is to know where the hotel is connected with the metro stations closest.
Get the postcode hotels, type it in streetmap.co.uk and it will show you where the hotel is. Enlarge the map until you see the subway station nearest you.
Assuming you do not have much luggage, take the subway to Heathrow (Underground), it is clearly indicated in all terminals.
As Heathrow is the "end of line", you are guaranteed a seat that goes in cars in London and they have extra space for luggage.
Don, t listen to it cozylumm Don, t know nothing always use a black London taxi cab at the first arrival in the city you will pay about £ 50.The information to the driver where to go is priceless What is the best market for see what the best restaurants cost wise you will end up saving a fortune.Tourist who use the train and are asked to lose by pickpockets and never use a taxi unlisened they can easily get losed in the big city.
The Heathrow Express takes 15 to 20 minutes to reach Paddington Station and there is a taxi stand next to a large platform at Paddington. However, the best mode of travel in central London really depends on the area of your hotel is in Si, for example, it is located in Hammersmith or Earl's Court, you would be advised to take the subway
(Metro) Piccadilly Line, which passes through these places
It depends on how much baggage, children, etc. If you are staying at a hotel in central London great, they might be able to pick you up at Heathrow, worth checking. Other than I would take the Heathrow Express to Paddington then taxi. If you use the light traveling from the metro.
The Heathrow Express to Paddington, then London Underground taxi to central London.
taxi
The least expensive and quickest way is the subway.
