I am looking for a guesthouse or hotel stay reasonably in August, but they all seemed to be booked, I know that the festival is there but I'd be very grateful if someone can help. Thank you very much everyone. So its for me and my daughter

There is a website called couchsurfing.org where you can ask to stay with a local person or family, I live in Edinburgh know a lot of people on the site I recommend, if you connect it is quite explicit, but If you have questions you can send me an e-mail.

You can try Gumtree.co.uk but beware, there are scammers on it does not change money at all up front.

for Best Western hotels in Bruntsfield is very nice and there are plenty of b and b in EH10 which are beautiful too.

Edinburgh is beautiful in August, the festival is great I hope you find a place to stay.
