I go to the Formula 1 European Grand Prix at Nurburgring, Germany. What city should I get a hotela

Frankfurt is more than an hour and Cologne is a bit of a trek. Any thoughts herea If there is nothing "fun" around the track so I'll stay outside, but if anyone has experience with this race, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Trier or Koblenz are both nice towns to visit and not too far.
