Coral Beach

My friend is on holiday in Australia and found on the coral beach. She wants to bring home but do not know if she will get past customsa I know coral is a precious substance such as when to grow, but if it's just away on the beach Is this correcta Then sniffer dogs smell it in peoples bagsa Can they see on the optical scanning machinesa

a piece of coral washed up on shore is probably dead. I know bring some animals from one country to another must be declared at customs, but a piece of dead coral is like a rock .....
