Black Wolf Tents

Black Wolf TentsIs it allowed to clean a black wolf tent in a washing machinea

Hello .... Sun UK and rained on moldy tents.
If you use any type of detergent with the exception of products specifically designed for the treatment of waterproof fabrics such as tents, you will destroy the waterproofing.
Products such as Ariel, Persil, Daz, etc. are not good for waterproof fabric and ruin any attempt to re-tard proof fabric.
To kill the mold safely use Camden tablets you can buy in pharmacies and stores of wine at home, and in some health food stores. This is a sulfur-based sterilizer used for sterilization of bottles of wine before filling and to stop the fermentation, because it also kills yeast.

I use it to sterilize water on long journeys too. It is perfectly safe to drink. You drink wine. All vines in the same professional use.
Make a solution of ten tablets, or a teaspoon if you buy it in powder form in a few liters of water, enough to absorb the tent for two or three hours.
Give two or three mixtures and splash around to make sure all the fabric is treated because it is easy to get air pockets when you put stuff watertight.
Then hang the tent on the clothesline and hose, buckets or use or tub to rinse.
Then you can use a good tent to clean the tent, as Nikwax Tech Wash clothes and clean tent or in a large bucket or bath or cold or wool cycle in a washing machine, less than 40C . Hotter than that do damage.
Tech Wash is not cheap, but it is much cheaper than buying a new tent and it does a very good job.

After washing, rinse the tent, and preferably on the line with a good hose down, then turn it upside down and do it again, and then dry thoroughly before storing.

It will cease to be waterproof, but it might be the only way to get rid of mold.

Yes use the washing powder, hang it to dry completely, then spray with a spray you in the shoe stores that make it tight again.

Simply plug with some Ariel 60 "
Should be good, mine was
