Aquarium Plants

Aquarium PlantsAquarium plantsa

I have some plastic plants in my tank right now and I read the benefits of real plants. I wondered, but I plan to buy some of my pet shop local, what plants, if any, that I could find out who is good in my aquariuma If I happen to find good plants (taken from the suggestions I get from Yahoo Answers to other users), what should I do to ensure they are completely sanitary and custom compromise my fish health in any waya I live in South Florida, if that helps any. I would like to know, partly from curiosity and partly because I do not want to spend money on something that I can find right in my backyard.

Thank you in advance.

The only plants uyou perhaps would do well in an aquarium would be the ones you are totally immersed in water. If they do that more and more elongated sides of a lake or stream so they are more than likely a swamp plant that will die when put under water. There are quite a few in your area who work in a tank, but the collection is a confusing and difficult process. Not to mention that you collect everything in nature could harbor snails and / or fish parasites that you definitely do not want in your tank. Tempting as it is to go pick plants at this point, leave this ujntil later. Start with real aquatic plants that you get in a good pet store in your area. So maybe later, after you get used to keeping plants and learn to manage their attempt to collect a few.

I do not think you can just find plants outside unless you want to kill your fish. I would go to Wall Mart. They have plants that you can buy differant kinds of fish.

you must be very careful with this. Most plants you buy in a store for pets are special plants that will not harm fish or water from your tank and really help the tank. You can easily build a factory bad or even a plant with something toxic in the title or such. I've seen in stores like Petco aquatic plants sold in a plastic cup that is ok because they are made to the tanks underwater. Just be careful, or experience before adding fish to see what happens.

I recommend you go to a petstore and get some Giant Hydro. I have. They grow fast and you can break pieces, stick them in your sand or gravel and they will continue to grow. This plant is very hardy. Plant fast-growing algae to help cons too.

You will not find any aquatic plants in your garden. Many aquatic plants are very cheap. You could probably get 2-3 different types of plants for less than $ 10. You are not exactly spend a fortune here.

sorry, but you should not harvest your garden for your aquarium. some additional mold spores in the back could spell the end of your aquarium.

i get plants online and on ebay - they are generally healthier and more resistant than plants from a national chain. try java moss, java fern, Anubias, cryptocorines are all good beginner plants and they will not take over your tank or in two weeks.

My advice would be to buy live plants instead of plastic ones.there are things you should consider first before plants buy-in
First, select appropriate plants for your fish, choose plants with hard leaves for fish species such as Anubias barbarians and other

secondly, to avoid the herbivorous fish or you'll end up watching the fish in your pasture destroyin yourtank maserpiece

third, putting the ideal substrate for plants

and fourth, check pH of water suitable for your fish and plants ..
