Tips on RV and roads in Australiaa Hello - Im going to Australia at the end of the trip last month, we visited Melbourne -12 Apostles, Apollo Bay, penguins and took in the Melbourne Cup. Australia Zoo, Fraser Island, Sydney, Blue Mountains, Palm Beach - Brisbane. We travel mainly by Virgin Blue, but rented a car and drove from Melbourne to Sydney via the Blue Mountains, but this time we are thinking of a motorhome and caravan parks, see more country and lttile keep costs down. Although we need to incorporate Sydney for New Years Eve and a period of time in Brisbane to meet friends, we have plans to focus more of our time in Western Australia we havent visited all the places there. Since it seems that the flights are twice the price we paid last time, due to the time of year, we're going, we need to reduce costs wherever we can, but do not want lose a day of our time there. I'd really appreciate any advice you can offer. Thank you in advance.
hello, we drove from Brisbane - Sydney in an RV last November! FANTASTIC !!!!! This disc is fantatstic - we did a week in Byron Bay, Woy Woy, Forster Tuncurry + - the name just does some really great places. We also took this choice we found flights had jumped charges (tax blomin!) Just allow extra time as the roads are rubbish in some areas (no signs either!) And get a good map!
Have fun + good luck xxxxxxxxxxxx
KEEP AWAY FROM WOLF CREEK
watch the movie! be warned
I had some very "roots" in aussieland, sometimes in a van, but especially in Melbourne where there are plenty of Asian women!
It would be a long journey from west to east in a motorhome. For at least the part I would fly.
Western Australia is absolutely fabulous for everyone in a campground. You're away from Brisbane and Sydney and if you need a little time in a motorhome in Western Australia because it is enormous. I do not want to travel south in winter WA. It can be very cold but there is a huge amount to see. Kalgoorlie Super Pit. Is amazing and also around Esperance Margaret River and forest areas. Normally when you rent a motorhome you can get a discount at the Top Tourist parks or tourist Big 4. If you decide to North Perth well thats something different again. If you can go in the spring you'll see wildflowers. The landscape can be covered with flowers as far as the eye can see in places. Coral Bay is a must to bathe in the World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef. Broome and Kimberlie are impressive. Oh so much and so different. Amazing.
